EOGamer Weekend Downtime and Upgrades

I just wanted to give a brief update to all of our users regarding the changes and upgrades seen here on EOGamer this last week.

For the past few months we have been working on customizing and launching Acquia Drupal to update our content management system with an integrated login systems for all our news portals.  This past Saturday, Feb. 13, we were finally ready to do so, thus having an incredibly short downtime for the portal sites, forum and wikis.

We mentioned that all the user generated content from our news portals wouldn’t be lost.  It wasn’t.  Any missing material is due to the fact that we’re having to import all the articles manually, and in the case of the Sci-Fi portal, it’s a significant amount of articles to import in.  Factor in that it was Valentine’s Day, Sunday…and yeah, it’s taking a bit longer than we would have liked, but things are coming along.  It won’t be much longer till that site is fully functional.
